What Are Monuments?

Monuments are landmarks scattered across the Rust map. They contain valuable loot, but also danger. Monuments spawn crates, scientists, turrets, and puzzles.

Monument Categories

Monuments range from easy (safe for solos) to impossible (requires teams with endgame gear):

  • Beginner - Gas station, Supermarket - easy loot, no scientists
  • Intermediate - Harbor, Lighthouse - scientists, medium loot
  • Advanced - Airfield, Launch Site - puzzles, turrets, end-game loot
  • Extreme - Oil Rig, Cargo Ship - highest loot, highest risk

Dome

Easy solo monument. Small radiation. Great starter loot.

Harbor

Medium difficulty. Scientists. Crates and barrels.

Airfield

Advanced. Turrets and scientists. High-tier loot.

Launch Site

Hard. Radiation and turrets. Best loot. Requires gear.

Oil Rig

Extreme. Water monument. Highest tier loot. Team required.

Monument Strategies

Tips for successful monument runs:

  • Scout during low population times
  • Bring enough healing and radiation protection
  • Know the puzzle solutions before you go
  • Work with a team on dangerous monuments
  • Always bring a way out (boat or helicopter)
