Two ways to join the server. Step-by-step instructions for console connection and server browser search.
Falcon Rust operates two servers with different multipliers. Both are active and wiped on the same schedule. Choose the server that matches your playstyle. There are two methods to connect. Both work. Choose whichever works best for you.
Falcon Rust 3x features 3x stack sizes, 3x crafting speed, minicopter commands, and all custom features. Falcon Rust 2x features 2x stack sizes, 2x crafting speed, and the same commands. The 2x server is closer to vanilla experience. The 3x server is more forgiving on grind.
Click the button for your preferred server. This launches Steam and connects you directly without opening the server browser.
Join 3x Server Join 2x ServerThe console method works if the buttons above do not function on your system. This is also useful if you want to save the command for future logins.
Open Rust from Steam. Wait for the main menu to load. Do not join a server yet.
F1 opens the in-game development console. A black text box appears at the bottom of your screen. You can now type commands.
For the 3x server: client.connect 3x.falconrust.com:28015
For the 2x server: client.connect 2x.falconrust.com:28015
The console closes and you connect immediately. You spawn into the server and loading begins.
The first load takes 30 to 60 seconds. The map is procedurally generated. After loading, you see the world and can begin playing.
Save the connection command somewhere so you do not need to look up the IP every time. Paste it into F1 console and you are in instantly.
If you prefer using the server browser instead of the console, you can search for Falcon Rust by name.
Open Rust from Steam. Wait for the main menu to load.
On the main menu, click the "Server Browser" button. A list of available servers appears.
At the top, select "Community" filter to show only community-run servers. This narrows down the list significantly.
In the search box at the top, type "Falcon Rust". The server list filters instantly. You should see both the 3x and 2x servers appear.
Click on the server entry you prefer. A details window opens showing server info like player count and wipe time.
Click the "Join" button. The game connects you to the server.
The map loads. After 30 to 60 seconds you spawn in ready to play.
Connection fails sometimes. Common issues are below. Try these fixes before contacting support.
The server has a player limit. When it is full, you cannot join. Wait a few minutes and try again. Sometimes players log off and spots open up. Peak hours are busy times. Try joining during off-peak hours for better luck.
The server did not respond. Check your internet connection. Verify the IP address is correct. Wait a minute and try again. Temporary server issues usually resolve themselves.
Check the ban page at falconrust.com/bans. If you are listed, you are permanently banned and cannot rejoin. If you are not listed, there may be a whitelist issue or your account has a problem. Use the support ticket system at falconrust.com/support/.
If your ping is above 150ms consistently, it affects gameplay. Use the ping checker at falconrust.com/tools/ping-checker/ to verify. High ping might be your ISP, server location, or connection quality. Contact your ISP if ping is consistently bad.
Read the server rules before joining. Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking them. You accept the rules by playing on the server. Zero tolerance means one violation can get you permanently banned.
Join a team with people you trust. You need teammates to survive. Playing solo is possible but puts you at a disadvantage against organized groups. Coordinate in Discord or another voice chat platform.
When you spawn, you are completely naked with nothing. Find a safe area away from other players if possible. Gather stone and wood immediately. Look for trees and rocks. Your first goal is building a small base before nightfall. The night cycle makes it hard to see and harder to survive.
Do not sprint directly at high-tier areas like monuments. New players die fast. Avoid players initially. Learn the basics of gathering and building. Once you have a small base, you can scout for monument runs and better gear.
Check the guides on this site for first-day survival tips. Rust has a steep learning curve. Prepare yourself with knowledge before dropping in.
Falcon Rust is competitive but also a place to have fun with friends. Expect to get raided. Expect to die. That is Rust. Learn from each wipe and come back stronger next time.
