Power Plant Overview

Power Plant is a Tier 2 monument that rewards methodical players with red keycards and solid loot. Unlike higher-tier monuments, there are no scientists, which means you can focus entirely on puzzle navigation rather than combat. The radiation is manageable with a basic hazmat suit, making this an ideal farming location for solo players and pairs.

The monument produces around 318 scrap per run with three recyclers positioned on-site for efficient component processing. The primary loot value comes from the red keycard found in the blue card room, which opens access to higher-tier monument puzzles and loot areas. With a 15-25 minute run time and no scientist threats, Power Plant offers reliable progression without excessive risk.

Requirements and Preparation

Power Plant is straightforward compared to higher-tier monuments. Bring green and blue keycards plus one fuse. A hazmat suit is recommended for the blue card room, which has lethal radiation. Basic medical supplies (2-3 medkits) and one anti-radiation pill are sufficient since there are no scientists forcing combat.

Requirement Details
Keycards Green and Blue (both required)
Tools 1 Electric Fuse
Protection Hazmat suit (recommended), 1-2 anti-radiation pills
Medical 2-3 medkits for basic emergencies
Run Time 15-25 minutes total
Threat Level No scientists, lethal radiation in blue room only

Monument Layout

Power Plant has three main buildings around the cooling tower facility. The three-story administrative building is your entry point with the first puzzle switches. A red-roofed building contains the second switch and timer mechanism. The grey building on the left side leads to the blue card room where the red keycard is located. The cooling tower area itself has intense radiation and no loot, so avoid entering it.

The monument contains 49 barrels, 23 basic crates, 8 military crates, and 1 elite crate. Three recyclers are positioned on-site for salvaging components. The blue card room has lethal radiation concentrated in that single area, unlike other radioactive zones at Power Plant which are manageable with a hazmat suit.

Puzzle Route

  1. Three-Story Building Entry

Start at the three-story administrative building at the monument corner. Enter and locate the first switch positioned below the main staircase. Activate it to unlock the next area.

  2. Red Roof Building

Exit and move toward the red-roofed building. Locate the switch inside and activate it, which starts a timer. The timer gives you roughly 60-90 seconds to reach the grey building, so note your route before flipping the switch.

  3. Grey Building and Green Door

Head quickly toward the grey building on the left side, moving around the cooling tower area. Reach the green card door and use your green keycard to enter. You're still on the timer at this point.

  4. Interior Progression

Once inside the grey building, locate and activate the first floor switch. Ascend the stairs and you'll find the blue card door. Use your blue keycard to pass through, continuing upward.

  5. Fuse Box and Red Keycard

Continue upward until you find the fuse box. Insert your fuse to unlock the blue card room below. Descend back to the blue card room entrance, but first prepare for extreme radiation since this room has lethal levels.

  6. Blue Card Room Extraction

Enter the blue card room wearing a complete hazmat suit. The radiation damage will occur despite protection. Grab the red keycard immediately, take 3-4 high-value crates if you have space, and extract fast. You'll take significant radiation damage during this phase.

The Blue Card Room

The blue card room has concentrated lethal radiation that damages you even with a hazmat suit. This is the only area at Power Plant with this radiation level. You'll take significant damage no matter what you wear, so prioritize speed over comprehensiveness. Grab the red keycard, take a few high-value crates, and get out.

Bring a hazmat suit in perfect condition before entering. Damaged suits reduce protection and force you to use more anti-radiation pills. Bring at least one anti-radiation pill specifically for healing radiation damage after exiting. Don't linger in this room trying to salvage every crate.

Blue Card Room Warning

Enter with full health, extract the red keycard immediately, and exit before radiation damage becomes critical. The red keycard is your priority item. Grab it and 1-2 elite crates if space allows, then leave.

Loot Breakdown

Power Plant yields around 318 scrap per run with three recyclers on-site for processing components. The 49 barrels and 23 basic crates are reliable early-game resources. The 8 military crates contain mid-tier blueprints and equipment. The 1 elite crate in the blue card room has the rarest loot.

The red keycard is the primary objective. This opens access to higher-tier monuments and puzzle areas, making it exponentially more valuable than any single crate. The research table and repair bench on-site let you repair gear or research blueprints without leaving the monument, which is useful for extended farming sessions.

Use the three recyclers to process your collected items. Recycling unwanted keycards, fuses, and component junk lets you free inventory space while grinding scrap. Visit our recycler tool to identify which barrels contain valuable items worth keeping.

Practical Tips

Know your timer route before activating the switch at the red-roofed building. You have roughly 60-90 seconds to reach the grey building. Sprinting the whole way wastes stamina, so find a sustainable pace that gets you there on time. Practice the route on a peaceful server if you're new to Power Plant.

Bring a hazmat suit in perfect condition. Even minor damage reduces protection and forces you to use more anti-radiation medication. Check your suit before entering the blue card room. A damaged suit could mean the difference between surviving and dying in that lethal radiation.

Organize your inventory efficiently. Bring only the keycards and fuse you need, plus 2-3 medkits and anti-radiation pills. This maximizes your loot space. Use the on-site recyclers to process components immediately after looting, which frees space for the exit.
