Fishing Village Guide

Fishing Village is a smaller, more intimate safe zone located on the coast. While it doesn't have the vendor depth of the Outpost or the excitement of Bandit Camp, it serves a specific purpose: boat trading and fuel refining. If you're planning water-based activities or need quick fuel access, this is your destination.

Boat Vendor and Purchasing

The primary draw of Fishing Village is the boat vendor. This is one of the few places where you can purchase boats and related equipment. Whether you need a motorboat, sailboat, or submarine components, you can negotiate trades here. The vendor is your gateway to water exploration and access to offshore monuments like oil rigs and underwater labs.

Boats require significant scrap to purchase, so plan your budget accordingly. Have your resources ready before approaching the vendor. Compare prices with the vehicle vendor at the Outpost if you're deciding between multiple options.

Fuel Refinery

The fuel refinery here allows you to process low-grade fuel and other resources into usable boat fuel. This is essential if you plan to navigate the waters regularly. Stock up on fuel before extended water journeys, as running out of fuel mid-journey is a death sentence in most cases.

Safe Zone Rules

Like other safe zones, Fishing Village prohibits weapons use and PvP. No radiation, no puzzles, no keycards required. This makes it completely accessible to new players and a peaceful spot for completing your water-based trades.

Small Monument Size

Fishing Village is significantly smaller than the Outpost or Bandit Camp. You won't find recyclers, research tables, or multiple vendor stations. The focus here is laser-targeted on water trade. If you need those services, visit the Outpost first, then head to Fishing Village specifically for boat trades.

Tip

Check your fuel before leaving. The nearby water areas can be dangerous, and fuel efficiency is critical for survival on water.

Fishing Trading

While not formally tracked by vendors, players often trade fish and fishing gear here informally. If you're interested in fishing economy roleplay or trading fish for other goods, Fishing Village is the cultural center for that activity.

When to Visit

Visit Fishing Village when you're ready to purchase a boat or refuel for water expeditions. Don't make it a regular farming stop unless you're deliberately training fishing skills. For other resources, the Outpost is more efficient. Use Fishing Village as a waypoint in your journey to offshore monuments.

The coastal location also makes it a potential PvP hotspot despite the safe zone protections. Watch your surroundings as you approach and leave. Water bodies near Fishing Village can hide threats, so be cautious.

Strategy

Combine Fishing Village visits with trips to nearby monuments like Harbor or Ferry Terminal. Plan a circuit that maximizes your travel efficiency and fuel usage.
