Patrol helicopter, cargo ship, chinook drops, and supply airdrops. Spawn timers, loot, and combat tactics.
World events spawn periodically and create server-wide PvP hotspots. Understanding when events spawn, what loot they contain, and how to respond determines whether you claim the loot or die trying. Master world event mechanics and you'll capitalize on opportunities while avoiding unnecessary engagement.
The patrol helicopter spawns periodically on timers, approximately every 2 to 4 hours depending on server configuration. It's an NPC-controlled attack helicopter with hostile AI. The helicopter engages any player wearing more than two pieces of clothing or carrying ranged weapons.
The patrol heli carries two machine gun turrets and fires rockets at structures. It's heavily armored and deals massive damage. Direct confrontation with it is dangerous. Most players avoid helicopter directly.
Attack the rotor sections for bonus damage. Concentrated fire eventually damages the helicopter. Pace shots carefully. Dealing excessive damage too quickly causes it to flee. Patience and coordination defeat it without wasting ammunition.
When destroyed, the helicopter crashes on the ground. It drops 3 to 4 crates at the crash site. Fire burns around the crash for several minutes. Wait for fire to subside before looting. Crash sites are visible and immediately contested. Expect PvP at crash sites.
The cargo ship spawns offshore and sails across the map. It stays approximately 50 minutes before leaving. You can see its projected course on the map. It requires boats or helicopters to board.
Approximately 12 armed blue scientists guard the cargo ship. They're heavily armed with rifles and shotguns. Narrow corridors on the ship force close-quarters combat. Shotgun scientists are particularly dangerous indoors.
Locked crates on the ship take 15 minutes to hack. Multiple crate cycles occur during the ship's visit. Elite-tier loot inside crates makes hacking worth the time.
At the back of the ship is a RHIB suspended by cables. When the ship siren sounds, it's leaving. Press E on the steering wheel to release the RHIB into the water for your exit. Miss the exit and you go down with the ship.
The Chinook helicopter flies across the map and drops a locked crate at a monument. The crate's location appears on every player's map with a countdown timer. Drop locations include major monuments like Airfield, The Dome, Power Plant, Water Treatment, Launch Site, Train Yard, and Harbor.
Because the crate location is public knowledge, Chinook drops are heavily contested. Multiple groups converge on drop sites simultaneously. Controlling the monument before the crate lands is critical. Violence is nearly guaranteed.
The crate takes 15 minutes to hack. The hacking timer is global so everyone sees the countdown. Teams camp crates during hacking to defend against thieves. Stopping an enemy team's hack requires killing all their members before completion.
You can push locked crates with modular cars. This enables moving crates into defended compounds. It's slow but effective for securing crates against raiders. Push crates to safety if you complete the hack.
Supply drops occur on timers, typically every 1 to 2 hours depending on server configuration. A cargo plane flies across the map and drops supply crates on parachutes. Drops drift slowly toward the ground.
Find supply signals in crates or as loot. Activate them to call airdrops manually. This enables farming specific resources by calling drops when you're ready.
Airdrops contain randomized high-value items: weapons, armor, explosives, medical supplies, and components. Contents are always valuable. Expect competition on populated servers.
The drop is visible to all players. Expect multiple groups converging on drop sites. The slower the drop drifts, the more time for groups to organize. Controlling air space around drops is difficult.
Jumping and running on locked crates causes temporary disconnection. Avoid this mistake especially during contested events.
When an event occurs, assess your position. Can you reach it safely? Do you have weapons? Is it contested? Evaluate risk versus reward before committing.
Gather weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies before heading to events. Arrive with full loadout. Running empty-handed to events guarantees death.
Approach events from unexpected angles. Position for cover and escape routes. High ground provides advantages. Never run straight toward the objective.
Organize teams before events. Designate roles: defenders, hackers, scouts. Coordinate fire and revive protocols. Organized teams beat disorganized groups.
Plan escape routes before engaging. Know where your boat is parked. Establish rally points if separated. A live player with partial loot beats a dead player with nothing.
World events drive the game economy. Event loot floods servers with high-tier items. Late-wipe events provide endgame content. Event success funds raid expeditions. Master events and you fund your base and PvP operations.
World events drop items covered in loot tables. Combat tactics apply attack helicopter knowledge. Scrap transport helicopters enable rapid event response. Vehicle knowledge helps reach events quickly. Check weapon guides for event combat. Base defense covers defending against event raiders.
