Loot crates are containers at monuments containing valuable items. Each crate type spawns different items based on rarity tier. Understanding loot tables lets you prioritize high-value runs and farm efficiently.

Crate contents are randomized from loot tables, but you can predict categories. All military crates contain guns or components. All elite crates contain high-tier weapons. Plan monument runs knowing typical contents.

Key Understanding: Loot table distribution is not uniform. Some items are common, others are rare. Understanding probabilities optimizes your farming time.

Crate Rarity Tiers

Brown crates are abundant and low-value. Found at most monuments. Military crates are mid-tier and contain weapons and armor. Elite crates are rare and high-value. Underwater crates offer unique components at risk. Locked crates require keycards and contain the highest value.

Brown Crate Contents

Brown crates spawn at most monuments and are abundant. They contain low to mid-tier items. Typical drops include basic components, low-tier weapons, food, and consumables. Not worth fighting for but useful for early progression.

Item Category Rarity Example Items Quantity
Components Common Springs, bolts, gears 5-15
Food Common Canned goods, berries 2-5
Weapons Uncommon Hatchet, pipe shotgun 0-1
Resources Common Metal ore, cloth 10-30
Blueprints Rare Workbench blueprints 0-1

Brown crates are training grounds for learning monument layouts. Practice navigation and crate timing before progressing to military areas.

Military Crate Contents

Military crates contain significant value. Typical drops include assault rifles, pistols, ammunition, armor, and rare components. Blueprint drops are common from military crates. These crates justify monument runs alone.

Item Category Rarity Examples Value
Weapons Common AK-47, Thompson, SAR Very High
Ammunition Common 5.56, 7.62 rounds High
Armor Uncommon Roadsign pieces, tactical High
Components Common Gears, springs, valves Moderate
Blueprints Uncommon Mid-tier tech High

Military crate locations are more competitive. Other players contest these spawns. Go armed and prepared for PvP. Some monuments have multiple military crates. Run all of them before leaving.

Elite Crate Contents

Elite crates are the highest-value loot tier. They drop assault rifles, sniper rifles, C4, and high-end components. Elite blueprint drops are game-changing. These crates drive entire raid strategies.

Elite crates spawn only at Tier 3 monuments like Military Tunnels, Airfield, and Launch Site. They require high-tier keycards and radiation protection. The value justifies the danger.

Locked Crates and Keycard Requirements

Locked crates require green, blue, or red keycards to open. Green-locked crates contain blue keycards. Blue-locked crates contain red keycards. This creates a natural progression. Every wipe follows this pattern.

Start farming green-tier monuments immediately. Progress to blue when you accumulate adequate keycards and radiation gear. Reach red tier only when you have elite equipment.

Barrel and Junkpile Loot

Barrels spawn at random locations and respawn frequently. Contents are random but generally lower-value items. Small amounts of components, food, and occasionally cloth or leather.

Barrels are everywhere. Loot them while traveling to monuments. It's bonus income with zero opportunity cost. Never ignore barrels, even late-game.

Monument-Specific Loot Tables

Harbor

Zero keycard requirements. Multiple brown crates and low radiation. Contains scrap, metal, and clothing. Respawns quickly. Run every 10 minutes for reliable income.

Sewer Branch

Requires green keycard and fuse. Low-moderate radiation. Contains scrap boxes, components, and occasional military items. Three runs per hour net 120-240 scrap.

Satellite Dish

No keycard required. Requires climbing and jumping. No radiation. Contains scrap and components. Two runs per hour net 100-200 scrap.

Military Tunnels

Requires blue keycards. High radiation in some areas. Multiple elite crates. Packed with high-tier weapons and components. Three runs per hour net 300-600 scrap.

Airfield

Requires blue and red keycards. Extreme radiation. Multiple elite crates. Massive loot density. One run nets 200+ scrap plus weapons. Very dangerous, contested location.

Launch Site

Requires blue and red keycards. Extreme radiation. Multiple elite crates and locked areas. Extremely high-value loot. One run nets 300+ scrap plus endgame weapons.

Optimal Farming Routes

Early-game: Harbor loops. Safe, quick, consistent income. Mid-game: Harbor, Sewer, Satellite rotation. Balanced income and safety. Late-game: Tier 3 monuments plus satellite rotation. Maximum value despite higher risk.

Combine monument runs with recycling. Loot items you don't need, haul to a recycler, convert into scrap and components. This doubles your profit per trip.

Radiation and Hazmat Management

High-radiation zones require hazmat suits. Each suit costs 50 cloth to craft. Suits degrade over several runs. Always carry backup hazmat suits.

Radiation damage is permanent health loss. If you die from it, you're done. Never enter high-rad zones without proper protection.

Loot Respawn Timers

Most monument crates respawn every 10-15 minutes. Underwater crates respawn every 20-30 minutes. Some locked crates respawn only when keycards are used. Plan your farming circuit around respawn timers.

Early in your farming route, loot the quickest crates first while waiting for distant crates to respawn.

Maximizing Loot Value

Prioritize crates based on loot table value. Elite crates are highest value. Military crates are moderate. Brown crates are low value unless recycling for scrap.

Check inventory space before looting. Drop non-essential items to make room for valuable loot. Use storage bags at monument spawn points to maximize trips.

Identify high-value items to keep. Weapons, ammo, blueprints are worth slots. Food and low-tier components are not. Be selective.
